The wooden drum is the most basic wet processing equipment in the leather industry. At present, there are still many small domestic tannery manufacturers still using small wooden drums, which have small specifications and smaller loading capacity. The structure of the drum itself is simple and backward. The material is pine wood, which is not resistant to corrosion. The surface of the finished leather is scratched; and it focuses on manual operation and cannot adapt to mechanized operation, so the productivity is low.
The purchase of drums should fully reflect its characteristics of heavy load, large capacity, low noise, and stable transmission. According to the technical strength of many domestic tanning machinery manufacturers, it can completely replace imported drum products. Specifically, the purchase The technical requirements for large wooden drums are as follows.
(1) The selection of a large wooden drum itself requires that it has heat preservation, energy saving, corrosion resistance, and long service life. Therefore, the wood used to make the drum should be imported hard miscellaneous wood. The thickness of the wood should be between 80 and 95mm. It needs to be dried naturally or dried, and its moisture content should be kept below 18%.
(2) The design of the brackets and drum piles in the drum should not only meet a certain strength, but also be easy to replace and maintain. The design of small drum piles in the past is not reasonable, and the root often breaks, which affects the tanning and softening effect of the drum, and the replacement of brackets is also time-consuming and laborious, artificially increasing maintenance costs and reducing leather quality.
(3) A suitable motor must be selected for the transmission system, and a distance-limited hydraulic coupling with equivalent power must be installed on the motor. The advantages of using a hydraulic coupling on a large wooden drum are as follows: ①Since the use of a hydraulic coupling can improve the starting performance of the motor, it is not necessary to select a motor with a higher power level just to increase the starting torque. This can not only greatly reduce investment, but also save electricity. ② Since the torque of the hydraulic coupling is transmitted through the working oil (20# mechanical oil), when the torque of the driving shaft fluctuates periodically, the hydraulic coupling can absorb and isolate the torsion and vibration from the prime mover or working machinery , reduce the impact, protect the machinery, especially the big gear of the drum, so as to prolong the service life of the drum. ③Because the hydraulic coupler also has overload protection performance, it can effectively protect the motor and drum gear from damage.
(4) Use a special reducer for the drum. The special reducer for the drum can be used positively and negatively. It adopts three-shaft two-stage transmission, and the output shaft is equipped with high-strength wear-resistant copper gears. The two sets of gears, the input shaft, the intermediate shaft and the output shaft of the reducer are all made of high-quality carbon steel (cast steel), which has been heat-treated and tempered in a high-frequency furnace, and the tooth surface is quenched, so the service life is relatively long. The other end of the input shaft is equipped with an air brake device to meet the technical characteristics of equipment starting and braking. The reducer is required to allow forward and reverse operation.
(5) The drum door should be made of 304, 316 stainless steel to ensure its corrosion resistance and service life. The production of the drum door must be fine, whether it is a flat door or an arc door, it must be of the horizontal pull type, only in this way can it be opened conveniently and flexibly; the drum door sealing strip must be acid and alkali resistant, good elasticity, and less stone powder The sealing strip can effectively prevent the leakage of the drum solution and the service life of the sealing strip. The accessories of the drum door should also be made of stainless steel to increase its corrosion resistance and prolong the service life of the drum door.
(6) The material of the main shaft of the drum must be high-quality cast steel. The selected bearings are three types of self-aligning bearings. For the convenience of disassembly, the self-aligning bearings with tight bushings can also be selected to facilitate maintenance.
(7) The coaxiality between the drum body and the main shaft should not exceed 15mm, so that the large drum can run smoothly.
(8) The concentricity and verticality of the gears must be ensured in the installation of the large gear and the counter plate. In addition, the material of the large gear and the pay plate must be above HT200, because the material of the gear and the pay plate directly affects the life of the large drum, leather manufacturers must take it seriously when purchasing equipment, and can’t just rely on the drum manufacturer’s verbal promise . In addition, the mounting screws and standard parts of the gear and the pay plate are preferably made of stainless steel to ensure that they are easy to replace.
(9) The running noise of the drum machine should not exceed 80 decibels.
(10) The electrical control part should be operated at two points in front of the drum and on the high platform, divided into two modes: manual and automatic. The basic functions should include forward and reverse, inching, timing, delay, and braking functions, and should be equipped with start-up warnings and alarms. device to ensure its safety and reliability.
